HOW IT STARTED
ONE DATE.
ONE NEW PROBLEM.
Amber found disc golf in October 2021 when a date took her to Old Man to play a game she'd never even heard of before.
Apparently, it stuck.
Her first disc purchase was a Latitude 64 Jade, which remains her go-to and what she calls her "margin of error disc."

Some of Amber's favorite disc golf memories aren't about tournament finishes. They're putt nights at Lola's Trailer Park.
Her first night, she made zero putts.
She was intimidated, but she kept showing up. Along the way she learned from the experiences, the people and simply being out there.
She still misses plenty of putts. Just with a little more confidence now.

Amber enjoys the excitement of tournaments, especially when they mean playing a new course or traveling with friends.
Meeting and playing with cool new people is an added bonus.
The Vibes.
Good tunes, cold beverages, often smoking, and plenty of laughs.
Sometimes the shots are surprising. Usually she's just laughing at herself.

To Amber, being a Basket Case means having everything going on at once and convincing yourself you have it all together when you absolutely do not.
There's overthinking, a little overwhelm and more than a bit of chaos. But the best part is that you can come as you are.
Basket Case is a community that loves the game, throws discs, laughs at the bad shots, celebrates the good ones and genuinely enjoys the people we meet along the way.
